Come celebrate Earth Day on Sapelo Island! Day visitors may join us on beautiful Sapelo Island for a nature hike. We’ll visit maritime forest, salt marsh and dune habitats, and finish on Sapelo’s pristine Nanny Goat beach. Hike is approximately 2.5 miles over boardwalk, trail and beach. Sapelo Island is accessible by ferry only. Arrive at the Sapelo Island Visitor Center (1766 Landing Road SE, Darien, GA) by 8:30 to purchase a ferry ticket ($15 round trip, cash or check only). Ferry leaves *promptly* at 9:00. Bring water, comfortable shoes, appropriate outdoor clothing, plus a snack.
